The 'Caspian' - Original

The Caspian is an original acrylic painting inspired by the magnificent Caspian tiger—one of the largest tiger subspecies, declared extinct in the late 20th century. Through this portrait, I wanted to honour its strength, beauty, and enduring spirit, ensuring that although it no longer roams the forests and river valleys of Central Asia, it is not forgotten.

The tiger's calm, watchful gaze and intricate markings are brought to life against a dark background, allowing every detail to take centre stage. Rich amber tones contrast with deep shadows, creating a striking statement piece that captures both power and quiet elegance.

As with all of my work, this painting is about bringing the wild indoors—creating a connection to the natural world while celebrating the incredible animals that inspire us. The Caspian is not only a beautiful addition to your home but also a reminder of the importance of protecting the wildlife we still have today.
